How to Install a Pressurizer

For a simpler and faster installation. Follow the manufacturer's instructions correctly.

When it comes to hydraulics and pressure in the pipeline the recommendations have to be followed.

Position yourself in front of the manifold for a better view of the hydraulic system and to choose the ideal way to install the pressurizing equipment.

In the installation the two Registers (of Sphere with union) and the Retention Valve must be used.

Should be used sealing tape in all connections, respecting the appropriate quantities, as excess tape can fall into the tubing and impair the operation of the pressurizer.

The supply of the points of consumption to be pressurized is done directly from the tank tank on a main outlet, before the hot water and cold water lines to be pressurized, as follows:

How to Install a Plumbing Pressurizer

1 - Tank Tank;

How to Install a Pressurizer Fundamental Requirements:

Retention valve:

It is mandatory to install the Retention valve that accompanies the product.

This installation must always be made in the equipment inlet pipe (in the case of a tank tank at the beginning of the pipe).


It is recommended to have a by-pass in case you need to remove the equipment.
This withdrawal shall be made through the joints of the ball registers with joining of the inlet and outlet.

The by-pass may be with ball or drawer registration or with inverted check valve (spring type).

In the event of a lack of electrical energy in the ball record the water will pass through the equipment and in the case of installation with the use of the water check valve will pass through the By-pass.

How to install a pressurizer with bypass

Inlet pipe

The diameter of the inlet piping should be 1 "minimum for equipment 18, 25 and 30 and 1.1 / 2" for 200, 270 and 410.

Pipes of smaller diameter will cause loss of performance and will cause overheating of the Equipment and the electropump will enter the process of cavitation (will make noise).

Hydra Type Discharge Valve

Extension pressurizing with this type of Discharge Valve (Hydra type) is not recommended, since they are high flow equipment and do not require high pressures.

If pressurizing is required, observe that the valve model is suitable for use at high pressure and use pressurizers compatible with its flow rates, never use equipment lower than 25.

Electrical installation:


The correct installation of the equipment occurs when it is triggered automatically when a consumption point is opened and is turned off when the point of consumption is closed.
Therefore, with all points of consumption closed, the equipment must remain unplugged.

Observe that the available electrical current is compatible with that of the equipment (220 or 110 volts).

For a correct installation, the power grid must be grounded and a circuit breaker must be used.

As it is a low amperage equipment can usually be connected in any circuit, with breaker of 20A.

The Pressurizing Equipment is equipped with a conductor that must be connected to the grounding of the electrical installation.

· Observe, first, if the available electric current is compatible with that of the equipment.

· The pressurizer is provided with a power cord with a three-prong grounded plug.

· If the power cord is damaged, it should only be replaced by the official service.

· The equipment should be installed in an area close to a suitable outlet on the plug provided with the pressurizer.

First operation

Once the pressurizer has been installed in the hydraulic network:

1 – Check that the ball register of the pressurizer inlet and outlet are fully open and that of the by-pass is completely closed. Open a pressurized line consumption point.


Defective regulation results in the continuous operation of the pressurizer without an open consumption point, therefore without flow, compromising its refrigeration and lubrication, causing abnormal and premature wear of its components and, mainly, causing serious damage to the pipes and the installation sites, covered by guarantee.

Obs: For installation with feed from the tank tank, it must be observed that all the suction branch lines are filled (from the check valve at the beginning of the suction to the entrance of the pump).
This obligatory operation can be done through the equipment drain plug or the suction connection.

2 – Connect the pressurizer to the mains. The pressurizer will automatically run immediately.

3 – Once the pressurizer has come into operation close all points of consumption and verify that the pressurizer has automatically shut down.
If yes, test opening and closing points of consumption, making sure that the pressurizer automatically turns on and off. Installation Complete

Note: If the pressurizer does not start up or does not automatically turn off (if it is switched on with all closed consumption points) disconnect it from the mains and go to the "problems and solutions" page, which indicates the steps to follow for a correct operation of the pressurizer and other possible drawbacks.

System Purge (Extraction of Air from Pipes)

In some installations the presence of air internally in the pipes can lead to inadequate operation of the pressurizing equipment, necessitating their extraction or "purging" which is done as follows:

Note: Make sure that the reservoir volume is full so that no water is leaking during operation.

A - Water Box:

With the pressurizer in operation open all the points of consumption of the pressurized lines (showers, mixers, taps, et.) Lines hot and cold at the same time for about 30 seconds.

Go to closing each consumption point, starting with the "lowest" (bathtub, for example) and ending at the "highest" (shower outlet).

If necessary repeat the operation one more time.

B - Cistern:

Do the same, but also make sure that the suction piping is fully filled from the check valve to the pump inlet.

Sensitivity adjustment

The Rowapress Pressurizing Equipment is already factory-set.
In some cases the equipment may not switch off automatically, depending on the specific conditions of the pipe, in this case being possible to adjust the sensitivity.

Note: Only act on the sensitivity adjustment after being absolutely sure and have purged the system.


1- Have all consumption points closed and the ball valves in the pressurizer inlet and outlet open.

2- Remove the controller cover.

3- Turn the adjusting screw counterclockwise until the pressurizer starts.
Leave in this condition for about 30 seconds.

4- Turn the adjusting screw clockwise until the pressurizer switches off. Add another half turn.

Possible problems during installation:

- The pressurizer does not start.

1 - Check if the electrical installation is correct (220v or 110v).

2 - Observe that the input and output registers of the pressurizer are open.

3 - There may be pockets of air in the pipes. Purge the system

- Pressurizer comes on but does not turn off

1 - Check if there is water supply in the tank or tank.

2 - Observe if there is no open drain or vent;

3 - Observe that the ball or by-pass drawer is closed.

4 - If you are only pressurizing the hot water line, a reflux may be occurring through the cold water pipe in the dishwasher or washing clothes;

5 - Observe if there is a point of loss by closing the ball register at the outlet of the pressurizer (if the pressurizer is turned off it is because there is a loss).

6 - The equipment may be very sensitive for installation. Adjust the sensitivity on the microswitch.

- The pressurizer takes to turn on and / or off

1 - There may be air in the installation. Purge the system

2 - There may be dirt and impurities in the sanitary metal aerators and filters. Clean them.

3 - The pressurizer may be slightly sensitive to the installation conditions. Adjust the sensitivity.

- Pressurizer on / off with all closed consumption points

1 - Check if there is water supply in the tank or tank.

2 - Check that the check valve is installed in the suction pipe.

3 - Check that the check valve functions correctly.

4 - There may be a leak in the installation, connections or sanitary metals.
Check to close the ball register at the pressurizer outlet (if the pressurizer does not fire it is because there is a leak).

- The equipment provides flow and insufficient pressure

1 - Check that it is not 220 equipment in 110 volts;

2 - There is air in the suction pipe;

3 - The pressurizer was left unused for a long time and resulted in locking the rotor shaft. Remove the eye bolt and rotate the shaft with a screwdriver;

4 - Solid element has come in from the box, which obstructs the operation of the pressurizer. Contact the Technical Department and arrange the cleaning of the water tank;

5 - The flow and the pressure will be reduced according to diameter, length, curves and other elements that offer resistance and that are in the pipes;
